about

Amore piccolino fatte grande... is the first CD by LA PIAZZA.
Interpreters of the wide folk tradition of Roma and Lazio, the group is centred around the voice of Sara Modigliani, singer of "Il Canzoniere del Lazio", one the leading group of Folk revival in Italy during the '70s.
LA PIAZZA, the square in Italian, point out the main reason to play their kind of music: the Feast. Their repertoire, that includes all the various genres of the Roman tradition (ritual song, love song, work song, instrumentals such as polka and waltz, is full of a sense of togetherness, of joy even if, as often happens in the folk songs, the texts are sad and cruel.
There ability is to present a very traditional repertoire with a freshness and a personal approach that gives new life to these old musical forms.
